Kentucky Community and Technical College System in partnership with Barbara Endel Consulting
2020-2022
I documented the ALIGN project, a planning process the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) went through to explore and create a new educational model aligned to the knowledge and skills most relevant to state, regional, and local workforce needs. I created the documentation framework and oversaw and contributed to data collection for the 18 month planning process. I also co-authored, in partnership with Dr. Barbara Endel, the “Field Guide for Exploring Competency-Based Learning”, which provides in-depth information on major milestones, decision points, and mindset shifts over the length of the project to benefit KCTCS, the Commonwealth, the funder, and other states looking to jumpstart work to augment their own models.

Common Group
2021
I supported Common Group, a collective impact organization, to develop a strategy and impact framework for the Schultz Family Foundation. This accelerated test and learn process included the development of a theory of action, logic model, impact goals and priorities, and investment guidance focused on populations and issues the Foundation cares about.

Research for Action
2022-2023
I co-led a multi-year qualitative analysis that documented how four different state initiatives worked to re/up-skill adult learners displaced from their jobs by the COVID-19 economic downturn. We interviewed policymakers at the state level, college administrators and faculty, as well as students to uncover the priorities of these initiatives, how they were enacted on the ground, as well as illuminate the student experiences.

California Community College Chancellor's Office
2022-2023
I worked with Dr. Barbara Endel to conduct exploratory qualitative research into student employment outcomes and career mobility in California Community College. Our research was focused on what processes, practices, services, and investments, at the campus and system level, contribute to successful student outcomes. As well as how do the different departmental, initiative, and/or programmatic siloes on the campuses limit or encourage student employment outcomes success.

Asset Funder's Network
2023- Present
Postsecondary education should be an asset for those that pursue it. But unfortunately for many people, it is a liability. This can be due to the way it is funded, what supports are in place for students, as well as policy issues at the institution, state, and federal levels. My work aims to support grantmakers to fund postsecondary access and completion projects in a way that advances equitable wealth building and economic mobility.

Jobs for the Future (JFF)
2019-2023
I worked with the Corporate Leadership team at Jobs for the Future (JFF) on a variety of projects that work to create opportunity for America’s frontline workforce. I researched, project-managed, and contributed to Unlocking Hidden Value, a report that found employer investment in developing entry- and mid-level talent from immigrant and refugee backgrounds results in increased worker well-being and business returns. I also served as a formative member of the Recover Stronger Initiative team, built the company recruitment tool and workplan, created and deployed a strategy to gather employer storytelling assets and interfaced with employers. My work transitioned to the Corporate Solutions portfolio where I led client engagements focused on creating integrated career pathways in their companies, expanding corporate social responsibility initiatives, and creating research-backed strategies to develop new talent pipelines.
